So in the next couple days we will be the process of setting goals for the next five years... Over 10 years ago, we developed a 10-year plan...and in looking back at those goals most were met, some postponed and we are looking forward to the future...
In 2008, we met several goals - some lofty and some very simple.
Ken was elected to the Membership of the National Sculpture Society, an organization of representational sculptors based in NYC.
"Tale of Respect" was accepted to the 75th Annual National Sculpture Society Exhibition, we attended the opening in NYC, the sculpture also exhibited at the premiere sculpture garden in Brookgreen Gardens, Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
Ken was elected to the Allied Artists of America, an organization of artists (oil, watercolor, graphics, sculpture) based in New York City. His work has been accepted into this annual exhibition, three out of the past five years.
Ken chose gallery representation in Idaho at Galerie Belle Ame in Eagle Idaho and returned to Vista Gallery on the shores of Lake Tahoe in California after an eight year absence. His work is also at Golden Lotus Gallery in downtown Sedona AZ with fellow artist Nicholas-Kirsten Honshin who he met at the Celebration of Fine Art.
Ken's sculptures were accepted to over eight juried exhibitions, he won two awards - 1st Place Sculpture at the 26th Wallowa Art Festival in Joseph OR and the Leonard J Meiselman Memorial Award for Realistic Sculpture Executed in an Academic Manner at the 48th Annual Society of Animal Artists Exhibition.

We added Kentucky to one of the last states to visit in the US, we still need to visit New Hampshire, Maine and Hawaii, we hit 250,000 miles on our Chevy Diesel.
Goal setting is not a typical artist task, but one that when explores leads to brainstorming and new opportunities...which again is part of the journey!
